In 1952 she signed a recording contract with Telefunken, where she cut four opera arias and numerous folk songs. Particularly important are the many recordings she made in the context of the "Archive Series" of the German Phonographic Society (Deutsche Grammophon-Gesellschaft, DGG). During my second-to-last visit with Erna Berger in Essen in June of 1989, Ms. Berger mentioned that she had appreciated Margot Guilleaume very much for the clarity and purity of her singing. Regrettably, their common recording of the opera "The Secret Marriage" (Cimarosa) has been lost.
