In 1944 she was engaged to Hannover , where she had already given guest performances, but this engagement was short-lived, since later in 1944 all theaters were closed in support of "total war" by decree of Joseph Goebbels.

Violetta in“La Traviata”

After the war, she was engaged by Radio Hamburg for what turned out to be a very fruitful cooperation.

The repertoire included recordings of operas and operettas, opera arias, Lieder, masses and cantatas. Most of this repertoire is still available; regrettably the Mass in B minor (Bach) and the aria of Zerbinetta have been lost.

From 1946 to 1949 she sang Olympia , Konstanze, Violetta and other parts at the Hamburg State Opera.
